TTK Digital Leak Location System
The FG System is a cable based modular liquid detection system. It's pre connectorised design makes it supremely adaptable to suite changing site conditions. With the use of different sensing cables various liquids can be detected.

FG-SYS Digital Unit
The system comprises of the FG-SYS Digital unit which is available in either 19" Rack mounted or wall fixing versions.

The digital unit can monitor 1 to 180 lengths of sensing cable independently and monitor each for leak or cable break. When an event occurs the panel sounds an audible alarm and records the time, date and distance expressed in metres to the leak from a known point. Dependant on system configuration the known point can be the panel location or the start the sensing cable detecting the leak. Additionally the panel has eight programmable relays that can be set to change state for Leak, Cable break or General Alarm (either Leak or Cable Break).

Other outputs within the unit are RS232 and RS485 serial links with JBUS communications protocol for interfacing with executive and BMS monitoring systems or Top Surveillance.

The panel has a useful history function allowing the last thirty events to be recalled along with the type of alarm and the time and date of the occurrence.

 


   

TTK Example Display
 

To aid leak location each sensing cable can be given a name. This allows the area to be displayed on the screen and help in the speedy location of the leak.

A fully utilised panel with 180 x 15 metre lengths of sensing cable will monitor 2,700 metres of sensing cable making this system extremely cost effective.

Sensing Cables

  FG-ECX Analogue Sensing Cable
FG-ECX Analogue Sensing cable detects the presence of conductive liquids at any point along its length. Connection to a FG-SYS allows the leak to be displayed. The male and female connectors when mated form a leak tight connection.

 


  FG-EC Digital Sensing Cable
FG-EC Digital Sensing cable detects and locates the presence of conductive liquids at any point along its length. The localisation and reporting of an occurrence is transmitted digitally to the FG-SYS panel by a Microchip enclosed within the cable assembly allowing multiple leak alarms to be handled. The male and female connectors when mated form a leak tight connection.

 


  FG-AC Digital Sensing Cable
FG-AC Digital sensing cable for acids detects and locates the presence of conductive liquids at any point along its length. The localisation and reporting of an occurrence is transmitted digitally to the FG-SYS panel by a Microchip enclosed within the cable assembly allowing multiple leak alarms to be handled. The male and female connectors when mated form a leak tight connection.

 


  FG-HC2 Braided Copper Sensing Cable
FG-HC2 is a braided copper sensing cable designed for the detection of Hydrocarbon based liquids and solvents. To create a leak the liquid must seep into the cable through the braiding. To return the cable to service it must be washed in warm soapy water or detergent, the cable must be thoroughly dried before being returned to service.

Note: A Maximum of 15 units may be connected to a FG-SYS Digital panel. Each sensor will require a FG-DTC diversion box

Other Components

  FG-DTC Diversion Box
FG-DTC Diversion box allows the sensing circuit to be "Teed" so that sensing cables can follow pipe runs or cover area's without looping back. Each tee will require an end termination at the end of the sensing cable

 


  FG-TMC
FG-TMC End termination used to wrap the electrical circuit and provide a liquid tight termination at the end of a sensing cable.

 


  Computer Software
Top Surveillance computer software allowing monitoring of the system including graphic representation of leaks and cable breaks on a remote PC.
