TraceTek® Location Systems
Even small leaks in the wrong places cause downtime, disruption, and costly damage. Then the aftermath ties up resources in both clean-up and repair. The lasting effects to a business can have disastrous consequences with damage to property and stock, data loss and continued disruption affecting the efficiency and profitability of your operation, by installing the latest TraceTek technology which will allow you to detect leaks at their source and pinpoint their location you can stop the damage before it starts.

The TraceTek® product line includes sensing cables for a variety of fluids—water, aqueous chemicals (acids, bases, waste water), fuels, and even organic solvents. There is also a selection of alarm modules. The design flexibility of the TraceTek® system allows you to select the monitoring approach and layout you need, whether you’re looking for a simple detection system (for a small, isolated area) or for a complex, multi branched locating system. The TraceTek® system is modular, with interchangeable components for ease of design and installation. Standard lengths of TraceTek® cable quickly plug together so that you don’t need special tools to install the system. The modular design also means that you can easily add to the system in the future. Protech Systems have over ten years experience in the Design. implementation, installation and maintenance of TraceTek® systems within all types of facilities with varying applications. We are able to bring to the table full design and support for consultants, installers and end users along with a full installation service within the UK. We welcome challenge and will always be happy to discuss the feasibility of a TraceTek® system for a clients particular application.

TTDM Alarm Module

TTDM ALarm Module

The TTDM alarm and locating modules are designed for use with all TraceTek® sensing cables to detect and locate liquid leaks. When liquid is detected, the TTDM unit sounds an alarm and displays the location of the leak in either feet, metres or zones (defined at the time of installation) on its LCD display. The unit then continues to monitor and will re-alarm if there are any major changes.

The unit directly monitors up to 1500 Metres (5000 Feet) of sensing cable and can monitor up to 128 networked SIM’s (Sensor Interface Modules) or TTDM units. Each event is logged along with time and date to the units non-volatile memory and can be forwarded to a host computer via RS232/RS485, Modbus, 4-20 Milliamp transmitter or clean form C relay contacts.

Once the alarm condition is cleared, the module is reset with a single keystroke. In addition to detecting leaks, the TTDM:

  • Warns of fault conditions.
  • Indicates when service is required based on built-in, system-wide diagnostic functions.
  • Features an events history log that tracks leaks and other events.
  • Settings can be customized to suit the user’s application. Software selections include language (English, French, German, or Spanish) and units (feet, meters, or zones).
  • No need for calibration or complicated setup procedure.
  • Features a NEMA 12, IP 54 enclosure

Design Features:

  • Multiple event tracking capability for up to 128 independent sensing circuits.
  • Summary relay contacts, LED status lights, LCD information display at the TTDM master panel and designated slave unit’s.
  • Event history accessible from the front panel or via the serial port to identify: type of event, location, & other parameters for all sensing circuit events or user adjustments and interventions.
  • Complete remote operation & Monitoring through Modbus communications or using operational TT-Supervisor software for windows.

Aquentis Probe

Aquentis Probe
  Aquentis WDP Water Detection Probe
The WDP Water Detection probe with its unique design facilitates either horizontal or vertical mounting from just one unit. Its low profile means that it has a high level of stability and can be sited below sensitive equipment, valves and pipe joints. The unit's high-visibility yellow colour makes it easily recognisable in low light conditions, and the heavy duty aluminium guard plate provides physical protection where the unit is installed within harsh environments.

The probe's height can be adjusted within the housing, to accommodate installation in conductive drip trays or to eliminate alarms caused by acceptable small amounts of water.
